How does nova know it’s me? +
The Key Fob on your keyring talks to nova over Bluetooth. Within about 5 metres nova knows the movement is you and does not raise an alarm - no button to press, no app to open.
What if the fob battery runs out? +
nova keeps guarding exactly as before: you get movement notifications even with the fob next to you, so it never goes quiet by mistake. There is no low-battery warning - an alert while the fob is in your pocket is your cue to swap the CR2032 coin cell.
Can two people ride the same bike? +
Yes. Up to two Key Fobs work with one nova, so a partner gets their own. One comes in the box; add a second one in the cart.
How big is the Key Fob, and what battery does it take? +
37.6 × 24 × 5.3 mm - smaller than a car key. It runs on one CR2032 coin cell for about 24 months. The cell is replaceable, not rechargeable.
Is the Key Fob waterproof? +
It is rated IP44: rain and splashes are fine. Do not submerge it. nova itself is IP67, fully waterproof.
How do I pair the Key Fob? +
In SIZZAPP Pro open Settings → Garage → your nova → SIZZAPP key fobs → Add SIZZAPP key fob. Give it a name, enter its 12-character MAC address or tap Scan QR code and scan the code on the back of the fob, then Save. The status shows Pairing in progress: start the engine and move or gently shake the vehicle to wake nova up. Once it shows Paired, you are done. If an error appears, tap Retry and wake nova up again.
How do I remove a Key Fob? +
Settings → Garage → your nova → SIZZAPP key fobs, tap the trash icon next to the fob and confirm. The status shows Unpairing in progress: start the engine and move the vehicle so nova picks up the change. When it is done, the fob disappears from the list.
Is the Key Fob covered by the warranty? +
Yes - the same 24-month hardware warranty as nova.
What is the difference between nova and nova + Fob? +
The tracker is the same nova. nova + Fob adds the Key Fob: when it is within about 5 metres, nova knows it is you and stays quiet, and when anyone else moves the vehicle it calls you. With nova on its own you turn Security off in the app while you work on the bike.
Is there really no subscription or monthly fee? +
Correct - no monthly fees, ever. A special built-in SIM with lifetime data keeps it that way, so your protection can never be switched off by a missed payment.
Do I need a professional to install it? +
No. The 2-wire install is straightforward - use the sticky pad to mount it (ideally under the seat, facing up) and connect the +/- wires to the battery knobs. The OBD model is plug-and-play.
Will it drain my battery if I do not ride for a while? +
SIZZAPP Max draws more in sleep mode, so a small battery (~2.5 Ah) can run down in about two weeks. SIZZAPP nova uses a far more optimized power-off sleep with the lowest possible draw - up to 3 months on the same battery without recharging.
What happens if I am somewhere with no network? +
The device keeps tracking and stores positions internally - it updates your info automatically once it regains a connection.
Can I return the device if I am not satisfied? +
Yes - return the device within 14 days of receiving it. Hardware is also covered by a 24-month warranty.
